Key Information

The French development agency (AFD) granted the Republic of Haiti a grant of 8 million euros with the aim of supporting the curriculum reform initiated during the Bernard Reform and aimed at improving the quality of teaching of the 3rd cycle of basic and secondary education. Indeed, this reform should lead to the establishment of comprehensive, quality basic education over 9 years, followed by a 4-year secondary cycle. It includes three components:

Support the curricular reform of the third cycle of basic education by launching school programs to make it a final cycle, diverse and gender-friendly.

Support the implementation of new secondary programs already under development and create optimal conditions for its development.

Strengthen the capacities of the MENFP in project management, piloting actions intended to improve the quality and governance of basic education and secondary.
