Programa Nacional para Prevenir, Atender, Sancionar y Erradicar la Violencia contra las Mujeres (PNPASEVM) or the National Program for the Prevention, Attention, Sanction and Eradication of Violence against Women, was designed to intervene in the main causes of gender based violence and seek strategies to reduce them to increase the wellbeing of all Mexican women and girls.Under the program's four primary objectives it is important to highlight the focus to "reduce violence against women through the implementation of preventive measures to address risk factors". Under this objective is Priority Strategy 1.2: "Promote actions in educational processes to contribute to eradicating acts of violence." This includes action points such as (among others): 1.2.1 Promote in the national educational policy the mainstreaming of gender perspectives, intersectionality, interculturality, and human rights of women to prevent, address and eradicate violence against girls, adolescents, young people, and women. 1.2.2 Incorporate gender, intersectional, intercultural perspectives, human rights, and a culture of peace in curricula at all levels, fostering equal relationships between women and men. 1.2.3 Ensure that the training of teaching staff, school management, school supervision, and other educational agents includes content on the causes and consequences of violence against girls, adolescents, young people, and women and their right to a life free of violence.
