Key Information
The Innovation for Indonesian School Children (INOVASI) program was a partnership between the Governments of Australia and Indonesia aimed at strengthening primary education policies and practices so that all students could master foundational skills. Delivered in collaboration with key national ministries and managed by Palladium on behalf of Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the program operated from 2016 to 2023 across several provinces. It focused on improving literacy, numeracy, and character education, with an emphasis on gender equality and disability inclusion.
The program supported the development and implementation of inclusive education policies while improving classroom practices at the national and district levels. It strengthened curriculum and assessment frameworks, promoted student-centered teaching, enhanced educational leadership, and aligned national policy with local implementation.
