Serbia Inclusive Primary Education Improvement Project
- P Project/Program
A Active
Key Information
This project aims to support the implementation of Serbia's Strategy for Education Development 2030 in primary education through targeted investments at the system-level and in selected primary schools, particularly those serving disadvantaged or vulnerable students. It aims to ensure equitable access to quality education, particularly for Roma and disadvantaged students, by implementing national assessments, improving governance, expanding infrastructure, and integrating gender and environmental topics into curricula.
Additionally, the project aims to integrate gender and diversity considerations, as well as content on climate change adaptation and mitigation in training materials. It also includes a sub-component to enrich learning activities for vulnerable students, including remedial actions, mental health support, and gender-specific programs. It also supports online tutoring and computer-assisted learning to enhance climate resilience. Schools will prioritize local community needs and introduce extracurricular activities focused on climate change awareness.
