Mexico's National Program titled "Programa Atención Educativa de la Población Escolar Migrante (PAEPEM)" aims to guarantee the right of students attending migration centers to access education and complete their studies. The program's main objective is to increase access to mandatory basic education and offer school resources that are attuned to the migrant population's particular circumstances. The resources allotted for the implementation of the program include the formation of a school committee aimed at increasing education access for migrants. Such committees must follow quotas on gender parity. To increase access to education for the migrant population the initiative aims to: (i) improve school facilities; (ii) training to adapt to linguistic and cultural diversity of the migrant population; (iii) contextualize curricula to better serve the migrant community.
