? Activity Status: Unknown

Key Information

The global pandemic COVID-19 lays bare and exacerbates existing inequalities. For adolescent girls and young women in many places, this means that the harmful impacts of patriarchy and gender inequality – including child, early and forced marriage and unions – are magnified and intensified. In this joint statement, we call on funders of all types and sizes to stand with adolescent girls and young women during and after this global pandemic. This statement is by the Child, Early and Forced Marriage and Unions and Sexuality Working Group.
