GYAN Quality Education Program
- P Project/Program
? Activity Status: Unknown
Key Information
The Gyan Program is implemented in partnership with A School for Community (ASC) and government schools in the Pharping area, including Setidevi, Arunodaya, and Pharping Secondary School. The programme aims to expand access to quality education while promoting gender and social equality. In collaboration with its partner schools, it strengthens academic performance and learning outcomes, with a particular emphasis on improving opportunities for girls in underserved rural communities.
The programme combines scholarships for girls from low-income families—supporting them through completion of Grade 10—with targeted investments in quality education. This includes expanding access to technology through the development of a technology lab, as well as strengthening science and mathematics education to encourage greater female participation in traditionally male-dominated fields such as engineering, medicine, and computing. By addressing financial barriers and enhancing the quality and relevance of education, the Gyan Program supports girls to complete secondary education and pursue higher education or employment pathways.
