Key Information

The development objective of Second Reaching Out of School Children Project for Bangladesh is to improve equitable access, retention and completion in quality primary education for out-of-school children in selected under-served areas. This project has four components as follows: (i) increasing equitable access to primary education; (ii) improving retention in and completion of primary education cycle; (iii) enhancing project implementation capacity through mobilization of communities and partner agencies; and (iv) establishing an effective monitoring and evaluation system. This additional financing for the project adds a new fifth component: Provide safe and equitable learning opportunities to children and adolescents of the Displaced Rohingya Population (DRP) in Cox’s Bazar District, which aims to support the response to the immediate education needs of the crisis-affected DRP children and adolescents while helping to strengthen the service delivery system of the Government of Bangladesh (GoB) in Cox’s Bazar.
