Description

Advocacy, Research, Training & Services (ARTS) Foundation is a non-profit,  indigenous civil society organization established on January 30, 2008 by a group of young motivated community development professionals, researchers, media persons, human rights activists and concerned citizens who were trying to contribute their time and skills to mainstream women, girls, youth and children. ARTS Foundation registered on November 13, 2008 under Societies Act XXI of 1860 with the Registrar Joint Stock Companies and Societies, Government of Sindh, Pakistan.

ARTS Foundation aims to mainstream the most vulnerable segments of the society in development processes through creating, strengthening and supporting local community groups, organizations and networks to influence policies through advocacy, lobbying, networking and training to promote and protect fundamental rights to empower women, girls, youth and children.

ARTS Foundation works in collaboration with the government, philanthropists, national and international donors. ARTS Foundation has completed 22 projects worth PKR 29.6 million (USD 281,905) in the last eight years, while 2 projects worth PKR 9.4 million (USD 89,610) are ongoing. ARTS Foundation has mainly been working on capacity building, advocacy and awareness as a rights-based approach organization. They have also been partially engaged in service delivery in emergencies.
