Young Africans for Peace And Development (YAPAD) is a local youth and woman-led NGO working towards community resilience, Youth and Women empowerment, Climate Action, Peace/CVE and livelihood supports. Established in 2019 in Kenya and Ethiopia, YAPAD's VISION is to promote harmonious and inclusive communities where youth, women, and marginalized groups are the champions of peace, development, and environmental stewardship.

Our MISSION is to build resilient and cohesive communities in the horn of Africa by supporting youth and women-led initiatives that drive socio-economic transformation and sustainable development

YAPAD has physical offices in Nairobi and Mandera in Kenya, as well as other offices in Moyale and Jigjiga in Ethiopia. 

Having implemented scores of life impacting projects over the years, YAPAD have established a good working relations with target communities in Kenya, Ethiopia, local CSOs and built strong working relations and partnership with National and Local/County Governments. YAPAD received recognition from governments, INGOs and development partners.
