International Education Funders Group (IEFG)

  • N Network

Description

The International Education Funders Group is a learning network - for grantmakers to connect to each other and discuss their contributions to the field of education. We focus on basic education in the Global South, from early childhood up to tertiary, formal and non-formal, youth skills and adult literacy. We do not do advocacy, nor pitch or fund projects; but rather focus on ensuring grantmakers keep up with developments and best practices in the field, better identify grantmakers’ roles in catalysing change in the short- and long-term, and create opportunities for members to network and learn from each other. Girls’ education is a core theme for many of our members, some focus exclusively on funding here. The IEFG itself does no direct work in girls education – but we are a connector.
